APPRECIATING CULTURE
A practical workshop to explore the link between psychology and culture and how to adapt in a multicultural environment
“Because cultures differ in the ideas their members frequently encounter, they will also differ in the networks of thoughts, actions, and feelings that are most accessible to them. In this way, culture comes to shape the ways we think.”
(Heine, 2008)
The workshop´s objective is to provide your employees with an innovative framework which will change the way they adjust to other cultures. The framework per se is about observing, analyzing and replicating (when appropriate) the behavior of colleagues or counterparts in a multicultural setting.
Appreciating culture is about embracing a psychological approach to cultural differences. In this workshop we use exercises, case studies and discussions. Knowing oneself and one´s culture will be the starting point of understanding others. We will thus focus on perceptions, i.e. how language shapes the way we think, how non-verbal communication can be misunderstood and what it means to see through different lenses.

MULTI CULTURAL TEAM BUILDING
Working in a multi-cultural team can be source of trouble
The aim of our multi-cultural team building workshop is to identify conflict areas within the team and solve these through team building exercises and - we use the Cultural Orientation Framework by Philippe Rosinski for this - helping employees identify their personal and cultural preferences leading to a dialogue between the team members.
Having focused on cultural and personal differences we will then support the team to rebuild by creating trust.
The result will be a solid team with high performance.
